We are buying 50 shares of Palo Alto Networks at roughly $184. Following the trade, Jim Cramer’s Charitable Trust will 410 shares of PANW, increasing its weighting to about 2% from about 1.8%. We’re picking up shares of this cybersecurity leader into weakness on Monday. The stock is down $20, or 10%, since it was first reported that it was buying the Identity Security firm CyberArk , and we continue to view this slide as an opportunity. It hasn’t been a great earnings season for cybersecurity companies, but Palo Alto Networks separated itself from the pack last Monday night. The company reported a strong beat across all key metrics and issued guidance for its full-year fiscal 2026 that beat expectations. The quarter was validation that the “platformization” strategy — bundling services together — is working by setting a record for such deals. The market may not be sold on the $25 billion CyberArk acquisition, but we have confidence in CEO Nikesh Arora’s ability to execute given his background in making deals. The company is buying this business at the perfect time, with Arora expecting the identity security market to inflect in the next 12 to 24 months due to the emergence of agentic AI, which refers to systems capable of taking actions and adapting with less input from humans.
