Geopolitical tensions continue to help support the price of gold, it is currently up $50.86 or 1.42% at $3636.67. The new intraday high was reached earlier today at $3646.46. On Tuesday of last week, the price moved above the previous all-time intraday high at $3500.12 (from April 22). That took the price outside of an up-and-down trading range seen since April 22 that kept the price between $3121 and $3500.
