Stocks were mostly rising to start the day on Tuesday as surging rate-cut odds soothed concerns brought on by last week’s jobs report.

The S&P 500 was up 0.1%. The Nasdaq Composite was up 0.2%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 100 points, or 0.2%.

The yield on the 2-year Treasury note was up to 3.72% after falling sharply in recent sessions. The 10-year yield was up to 4.22%.
