Zee Entertainment Enterprises reported a 22% growth in its Q1FY26 consolidated net profit at Rs 144 crore versus Rs 118 crore in the year-ago period. The profit after tax (PAT) attributable to the shareholders of the company fell 24% on a sequential basis versus Rs 188 crore reported in Q4FY25.
The decline in overall revenue was primarily driven by a sharp year-on-year (YoY) and quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) decrease in earnings from the ‘Other sales and services’ segment.
- Advertisement Revenue: The company generated Rs 758 crore in Q1FY26, compared to Rs 837 crore in Q4FY25 and Rs 911 crore in Q1FY25.
- Subscription Revenue: Zee earned Rs 982 crore in Q1FY26, slightly down from Rs 986 crore in Q4FY25 and Rs 987 crore in Q1FY25.
- Other Sales and Services: Revenue from this segment significantly dropped to Rs 85 crore in Q1FY26, from Rs 360 crore in Q4FY25 and Rs 232 crore in Q1FY25.
