Under this project, Tata Comm will establish a high-capacity, resilient long-distance network connecting three major AWS infrastructure locations to bolster generative AI adoption and cloud innovation in India.
This AI network will enable businesses across India to build, train, and deploy scalable AI applications. The project is said to support innovation in sectors like healthcare, finance, and education.
The planned AI network will connect AWS infrastructure in Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Chennai through a national long-haul network to support AI and machine learning (ML) workloads across India.
The company under Amazon has two data centre regions in India in Mumbai and Hyderabad along with infrastructure of AWS Direct Connect and AWS Edge Network in Chennai.

Shares of Tata Communications were trading at Rs 1,765.60 per unit on BSE at 11:00 AM on Tuesday with a decline of Rs 7.80 (0.44%).
