NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Gagan Gases(20.00%), Suvidhaa Infoserve(20.00%), Unjha Form(19.98%), Mishka Exim(19.93%), Seasons Text(18.31%), Sangam Renewables(17.87%) and Ind Swift Ltd(15.22%).
The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 317.45 points up at 82570.91, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 113.5 points up at 25195.8.
In the Nifty50 index, 35 stocks closed in the green, while 15 stocks ended in the red.
Meanwhile, stocks such as Swaraj Engines, Amal Ltd, Kalpa Commercial Ltd., Soma Textiles and Nesco Ltd hit their fresh 52-week high, while Roadstar Infra Inves, Raghunath Intnl, Tejas Networks, LCC Infotech and Vantage Knowledge touched their new 52-week low in today’s trade.
