NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Vibhor Steel Tubes(19.99%), Aki India(19.97%), JP Power(19.57%), Sharda Motor(16.00%), Adarsh Plant(15.76%) and Hazoor Multi(15.40%).
The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 9.61 points up at 83442.5, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 0.3 points up at 25461.3.
In the Nifty50 index, 22 stocks closed in the green, while 28 stocks ended in the red.
Meanwhile, stocks such as J G Chemicals, PC Jeweller, Milgrey Finance, Suryo Foods Ind and Thyrocare Tech. hit their fresh 52-week high, while Dreamfolks Services, Enbee Trade Fin, Equippp Social Impact, Globe Civil Projects and Fine Line Circuits touched their new 52-week low in today’s trade.
