The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 287.6 points down at 83409.69, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 88.4 points down at 25453.4.
In the Nifty50 index, 23 stocks closed in the green, while 27 stocks ended in the red.
Meanwhile, stocks such as Ambar Protein Ind, Shikhar Consultants Ltd., Gabriel India, TN Telecom and Prime Focus hit their fresh 52-week high, while Euro Leder Fash, Jindal Worldwide, Sadhana Nitro, Nutricircle and Brand Realty touched their new 52-week low in today’s trade.
