NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 270.01 points up at 83712.51 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Nectar Lifesc(down 19.99 per cent), Greycells Edu(down 9.99 per cent), V B Desai(down 9.97 per cent), Patron Exim(down 9.89 per cent) and Samyak Intnl(down 9.43 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.
In the Nifty pack, 26 stocks closed in the green, while 24 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 61.21 points up at 25522.5.
On the BSE, Nectar Lifesc, Samyak Intnl, PVP Ventures Ltd., Fine Line Circuits and Miven Machine hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Som Datt Fin, Omnitex Ind, Sambhv Steel Tubes, Belrise Industries and Nitta Gelatin touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
