The Ori lamp folds one metal sheet into functional, sculptural lighting with an origami-inspired design. Created by Lincoln Chen, the lamp uses a single piece of aluminum alloy—no welding or joints—folded into a sleek, triangular form with a graceful curve at the top where the lampshade emerges. It’s a 24 V Bi-pin LED that provides energy-efficient illumination designed to last for years, and at around 35 in tall, it’s ideal for reading without causing glare, while its narrow footprint suits compact interiors.
Environmental impact was considered at every stage: recyclable aluminum reduces waste, and flat-pack shipping cuts carbon emissions during transport. The lamp blends industrial texture with a refined aesthetic, proving minimalist lighting can tell a story, showcasing the potential of thoughtful material use, efficient manufacturing, and elegant form in sustainable design.
