Mobikwik elevates Saurabh Dwivedi to CTO, Dhruv Wadhera to SVP

Fintech startup Mobikwik has elevated Saurabh Dwivedi to chief technology officer and Dhruv Wadhera to senior vice president (SVP), offline payments, as part of its efforts to strengthen its leadership team and drive scale of operations, according to a stock exchange filing.

Dwivedi, who joined the company in August 2023 as SVP—engineering for the payments division, will now lead engineering across four business units—payments, financial services, core platform, and infrastructure and information security.

In his new role, he is tasked with initiatives such as AI-assisted product development, efficient collections, and customer delight.

Dwivedi, a former VP of engineering at online travel platform MakeMyTrip, has also worked with financial services firm American Express India.

Meanwhile, Wadhera, who has been leading Mobikwik’s offline payments business since June 2023, will continue to build on expanding payment and financial solutions to small businesses from small towns to remote villages.

Prior to joining Mobikwik, he was VP and sales director at food and grocery platform Zomato.

“As we scale new heights, it’s vital we have strong leaders at the helm of both technology and distribution,” said Bipin Preet Singh, cofounder, MD, and CEO of Mobikwik. “Both Saurabh and Dhruv have demonstrated the acumen to serve our users with excellence, build with foresight, and lead with integrity.”

Founded in 2009 by Singh and Upasana Taku, Mobikwik offers various payment products, including Mobikwik wallet, UPI, Pocket UPI, and Zaakpay (payment gateway), serving over 176.4 million registered users and more than 4.6 million merchants.

The company has expanded into the distribution of financial products, ranging from credit to savings, investment, and insurance products on its platform. Mobikwik made its stock market debut on December 18, 2024.
