Bihar deputy chief minister and BJP leader Samrat Choudhary, state party president Dilip Jaiswal, JD(U) working president Sanjay Jha and other NDA leaders have been camping in Champaran, mobilising workers and urging people to attend the public meeting in large numbers.
“It will be a historic day for Bihar. The prime minister will inaugurate projects worth ₹7,217 crore, giving fresh momentum to the state’s development story,” Choudhary told ET. “People from across the Champaran region are expected to join what will be a massive rally with the PM and all NDA leaders present.”
State urban development minister and BJP leader Jivesh Mishra noted that this would be Modi’s 53rd visit to Bihar and his sixth trip to Motihari.
“No other PM has visited Bihar as often as Modi. This reflects his commitment to the state’s development and welfare,” Mishra said.
The announcements are expected to span railway, highway, software and IT projects, along with housing under the PM Awas Yojana in rural areas and financial assistance for self-help groups.”Bihar is receiving special attention from the Centre under the leadership of PM Modi and CM Nitish Kumar. Every time the PM visits, he brings new projects and a fresh vision for the state. Before Motihari, he announced several initiatives in other parts of Bihar. This will be another landmark day for us,” JD(U) spokesperson Rajeev Ranjan told ET.
