The accelerator will help 40 selected startups with business resources, expertise, and guidance around technology and business capabilities. The startups will also be able to leverage AWS tools to build, grow, and scale their missions.
“Space tech startups face significant challenges, including high capital requirements for technology development and testing, plus the need for specialised talent. This approach allows participants to experiment rapidly and cost-effectively, validating and refining their innovations before moving to full-scale launch and deployment,” AWS said in a statement.
The accelerator will focus on startups building technology for earth observation, manufacturing, launch and operations for space infrastructure, and advanced drone-based platforms.
The programme is being run in collaboration with partners such as T-Hub, Minfy, Fusic, and Ansys, along with institutional support from IN-SPACe, Australian Space Agency, SKY Perfect JSAT, and iLAuNCH. In India, T-Hub will lead the initiative.
Clint Crosier, director of the Aerospace and Satellite business at AWS, said, “Through this accelerator programme, we’re not just supporting individual startups, but are also helping to build a robust community that can drive economic growth and technological advancement throughout the region.”
Applications are open from July 8 to September 5, with the accelerator scheduled to begin in September 2025, culminating in a demo day in December.
