Shares of Mankind Pharma Ltd.(up 3.3 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.(up 3.05 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 2.63 per cent), Natco Pharma Ltd.(up 2.57 per cent) and Ajanta Pharma Ltd.(up 2.44 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Abbott India Ltd.(down 1.94 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 0.21 per cent), Gland Pharma Ltd.(down 0.1 per cent) and J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 0.08 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.81 per cent up at 22384.6.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 55.71 points at 25461.0, while the BSE Sensex stood up 193.42 points at 83432.89.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 29 ended in the green, while 21 closed in the red. Shares of PC Jeweller, Vodafone Idea, Ola Electric Mobilit, JP Power and RattanIndia Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE. Shares of Sindhu Trade, SML Isuzu, Sumeet Ind, Tourism Finance and Choice Intnl hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Dreamfolks Services, Stampede Cap(DVR), Sadhana Nitro, Globe Civil Projects and Jindal Worldwide hit their fresh 52-week lows.
