According to AAI, these three airports each received a perfect score of 5 out of 5 in the survey, which covered 60 of the 62 operational AAI-managed airports. The survey excluded Jaisalmer Airport in Rajasthan and Tezpur Airport in Assam.
The Bhopal and Khajuraho airports in Madhya Pradesh, along with Rajasthan’s Udaipur airport, emerged as top performers in terms of passenger satisfaction. Officials said the ranking is based on direct feedback from passengers during the six-month period.
Assam’s Rupsi Airport recorded the lowest customer satisfaction score, with a rating of 2.65.
Khajuraho Airport, located in Chhatarpur district, serves a significant number of foreign tourists visiting the region’s renowned temple complexes. Its inclusion in the top three suggests a growing improvement in service quality even in smaller Indian cities, frequent travellers observed.
“This achievement is the result of our entire team’s commitment, hard work and our continuous efforts to provide the best facilities to passengers,” PTI quoted Khajuraho Airport Director Santosh Singh as saying.“We express our sincere gratitude to all our staff, partner agencies, and travellers, whose support helped us achieve number one ranking. We will continue to strive to stay one step ahead of passenger expectations in the future as well,” Singh added.
