Ukraine has launched a covert and sophisticated drone strike deep inside Russian territory, targeting strategic air bases in five regions. Codenamed Operation Spiderweb, the attack reportedly involved hiding FPV kamikaze drones inside sealed wooden crates aboard civilian cargo trucks, remotely activated once near airbases. Key targets included long-range Russian bombers like the Tu-95, Tu-160, and Tu-22 across Murmansk, Irkutsk, Ivanovo, and Ryazan oblasts. Ukrainian sources claim up to 40 bombers were damaged. The bold assault shocked Moscow, forcing Russia to admit rare, nationwide military losses.
