The 30-share Sensex traded 381.44 points up at 82139.17, while the 50-share Nifty index rose 99.75 points to 25068.15.
In the Nifty 50 index, 25 stocks traded in the green, while 25 stocks were in the red.
Stocks such as Restile Ceramic, Bluspring Enterprises Ltd., ASM Tech, Paradeep Phosphates and Gallantt Metal hit their fresh 52-week high, while Retro Green Revolution, Smartworks Coworking, Pankaj Piyush, LCC Infotech and Bangalore Fort Farms touched their new 52-week low in trade.
