Farm Visitor Experiences : Mādahòkì Farm

Mādahòkì Farm is unveiling new visitor experiences as it cements its role as a premier year-round Indigenous tourism destination. With funding from the Ontario Trillium Foundation, Ottawa Tourism, and FedDev Ontario’s Tourism Growth Program, the farm now offers expanded summer and year-round programming designed to immerse guests in Indigenous culture. Highlights include the Mishtadim Equine Assisted Learning sessions, featuring rare Ojibwe Spirit Horses, as well as an innovative augmented reality encounter with these sacred animals. Visitors can also sample new Grab & Go Indigenous dishes created by the farm’s culinary team and shop for artisanal goods at the on-site Marketplace.

With this expansion, Mādahòkì Farm strengthens its appeal as a cultural tourism hub, attracting both domestic and international visitors. Strategic funding positions it for sustainable growth while promoting Indigenous heritage and economic development through immersive, educational, and culinary experiences.
