Victor appoints Damico President of Torrent
Victor Insurance named Mark Damico president and chief operating officer of Torrent Technologies, Victor’s flood insurance technology and services business in the U.S.
The appointment is effective July 31.
Torrent Technologies is based in Kalispell, Montana.
Based in Brookfield, Wisconsin, Damico will be responsible for Torrent’s integrated suite of business software platforms along with the company’s customer-focused service and support solutions, which support insurance providers offering the National Flood Insurance Program as “write your own” carriers and a suite of residential and commercial private flood insurance options. He will also retain his current role as COO.
Damico has more than 30 years of industry and leadership experience, joining Torrent as COO in 2018 after several years as an entrepreneur. Before that, he was president and CEO of StoneRiver and held a number of leadership roles at Fiserv, including group president.
Damico succeeds Kevin Tobin, who is retiring after more than 35 years in the industry.
Alliant Insurance Hires Blake as Employee Benefits SVP
Cheryl Blake joined Alliant Insurance Services as senior vice president within its employee benefits group.
Alliant is headquartered in Irvine, California.
Based in Georgia, Blake has specialized expertise in benefits strategy, global compliance and HR technology integration. Blake has served in multiple leadership roles throughout her career, advising small to mid-sized employers across all 50 states and helping foreign-owned companies establish operations in the U.S. Before joining Alliant, Blake served as principal with OneDigital.
