Shares of Bosch Ltd.(up 3.62 per cent), Ashok Leyland Ltd.(up 2.73 per cent), TVS Motor Company Ltd.(up 1.74 per cent), Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd.(up 0.99 per cent) and Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 0.79 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 1.29 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(down 1.08 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 0.48 per cent), Bharat Forge Ltd.(down 0.48 per cent) and Balkrishna Industries Ltd.(down 0.22 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Auto index closed 0.25 per cent up at 23552.0.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 67.55 points at 25082.3, while the BSE Sensex stood down 247.01 points at 82253.46.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 22 ended in the green, while 28 closed in the red. Shares of JP Power, Vodafone Idea, Ola Electric Mobilit, RattanIndia Power and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE. Shares of JP Power, Anand Rathi Wealth, Soma Textiles, Faze Three Ltd and Allied Blenders hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while SKIL Infrastructure, Picturepost Studios, Marshall Machines, Capital Trust and Magnum Ventures hit their fresh 52-week lows.
