MRF Ltd.(up 1.09 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 0.78 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 0.65 per cent), Ashok Leyland Ltd.(up 0.57 per cent) and Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(up 0.54 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Bharat Forge Ltd.(down 0.44 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(down 0.23 per cent), Tube Investments of India Ltd.(down 0.13 per cent) and Exide Industries Ltd.(down 0.1 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Auto index was up 0.39 per cent at 23946.85 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 2.55 points at 25525.05, while the BSE Sensex was up 5.96 points at 83718.47.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 28 were trading in the green, while 22 were in the red. Shares of JP Power, Vodafone Idea, PC Jeweller, RattanIndia Power and Alok Industries were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Synergy Green Ind, Syrma SGS Technology, Prostarm Info System, Sumeet Ind and TN Telecom hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Nectar Lifesc, Future Enterprises (DVR), Sadhana Nitro, TECIL Chemicals and Dreamfolks Services hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
