Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 24.75 points up at 25541.8 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.
However, stocks such as Stampede Cap(DVR), Arisinfra Solutions, Sadhana Nitro, Ola Electric Mobilit and Ganga Forging, touched their fresh 52-week lows.
Overall, 24 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 26 closed in the red.
In the Nifty 50 index, Apollo Hospital, BEL, RIL, SBI Life and Asian Paints were among top gainers during the day, while Nestle India, Axis Bank, Shriram Finance, Eternal and Trent ended in the red.
The BSE Sensex closed 90.83 points up at 83697.29. Traders piled up positions in General, IT Enabled Services, Tourism & Hospitality, Auto and Retail sectors, while selling was witnessed in Industrial Consumables, Fertilisers, Chemicals, Aquaculture and Rubber sectors during the day.
